Andrew Matthews is a Toronto-based business executive and technological entrepreneur. Currently, Andrew is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sensory Technologies Inc., a Canadian mobile technology solutions company creating innovations to service the complex nursing industry. As Sensory Tech’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Andrew has been instrumental in the rapid growth of the tech startup. Through his ability to incorporate his background in the security and healthcare sectors to offer his clients complete and comprehensive solutions, Andrew’s work at Sensory Tech has enabled the company to expand into international markets.   In addition to his work at Sensory Tech, Toronto’s Andrew Matthews is also the President and founder of Spinach Solutions, an information and technology services company based in the heart of Canada’s financial district. Andrew established Spinach Solutions in 2010 with the goal of bringing fresh thinking to the consulting, finance and energy sectors, while also providing IT security and privacy services to the healthcare sectors.   Andrew moved overseas to begin his career shortly after graduating from Ontario’s Western University, where he studied politics. While living in Europe, Andrew Matthews worked in the IT sector, where he developed valuable knowledge and computer skills. Following this, he went on to work in France as a Systems Engineering Director for a communications company. While working there, Andrew managed a group of ten senior engineers, who implemented some of the company’s strategic technologies.   After living abroad, Andrew returned to Canada in 2002 and began working at Bell Canada, the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, as Director of Security and Corporate Governance. At Bell, he was responsible for conducting all audit and assurance activities, in addition to security and risk management for clients.   In 2004, Toronto’s Andrew Matthews began working as a regional sales director at Emergis, a healthcare focused company. While at Emergis, Andrew was in charge of product management/marketing, business development, and direct sales. During his time at Emergis, Andrew discovered he had a growing interest in healthcare and security innovations.   As a result of this, in 2009, Andrew joined the board of The Centre for Environmental Sustainability in Healthcare (CESH). CESH provides healthcare organizations in Ontario with the tools and resources to manage and monitor their environmental sustainability initiatives.   Motivated by his work with CESH, Andrew went on to establish Spinach Solutions. At Spinach Solutions, Andrew and his team offer comprehensive and strategic management consulting and business development services to various IT related organizations operating in eHealth, mining and IT security sectors. Andrew utilizes his diverse security, business and entrepreneurial skill set to aid start-ups during and after their launch. He also facilitates audience engagement strategies to build a sustainable product commercialization plan for startup IT companies.     Andrew has been described as a true leader with deep insight and knowledge by his colleagues.
